Thomas Stricker
I believe passionately in the concept of partnership. By working together with other professional portfolio managers, each of us partners can give his clients a better and more sophisticated service than he could on his own.
As far as my background is concerned, I was born in October 1952 in Hamburg, Germany and have learned the banking business from the bottom up. I was a trainee with a very well-regarded private bank in Hamburg, after which I spent periods with banks in England and America. In London I met a Swiss lady, Ruth Mazenauer, whom I married in 1977. We have been living in Switzerland, near Zurich, since 1979. I have taken Swiss citizenship and Switzerland is now my home.
I furthered my education by studying for a degree in banking and finance at “Bankakademie IHK” in Hamburg. After many years in senior management and as director with banks in Zurich I decided to become an independent portfolio manager in 2001. I am now free from allegiance to any one bank and resulting conflicts of interest.
With experience of many different areas of banking, I have for many years concentrated on Private Banking and dealing with private clients and their investments.
